History

In 1986, CIMEX joined Mexican Federal Electricity Commission’s “Laguna Verde” nucleoelectric project as a company specializing and qualified in quality control, technical advising, and consulting. Its participation in the nuclear field, due to its specific technical demands, has qualified the company to expand into a wide range of industrial processes, primarily in the mechanical, electrical, civil, and metallurgical fields.
CIMEX has consistently provided services to both the public and private sectors in the domestic and international markets. The company relies on specialized, qualified, and certified technical professional staff, adhering to national and international standards.

Activities

Since it was established, CIMEX has been providing the following services:

  • Diagnosis and calculation of remaining useful life
  • Materials engineering and failure analysis
  • Mechanical integrity assessment of static equipment (tanks and pressure vessels) and piping systems
  • Supervision during the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and rehabilitation of equipment, piping systems, and industrial plants
  • Development of welding procedures, as well as their qualification and the qualification of welders, in accordance with ASME Code, Section IX
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT): visual inspection, liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particles testing (MT), ultrasonic thickness measurement, ultrasonic volumetric inspection, phased array, hardness testing, metallographic replicas, positive material identification (PMI), vacuum box testing, and delta ferrite measurement
  • Pipe stress analysis and flexibility tests
  • Preparation of technical files, calculation reports, blueprints, and non-destructive tests on equipment (NOM-020-STPS)
  • Conformity assessment of Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) and other regulations
